About me

Welcome to Frédérik Bilhaut's web site. Currently I'm CEO of the Noopsis company, which provides innovative languages technologies.

I still do some research and teaching at the University of Caen, France. My research interests lie in the Natural Language Processing area of Computer Science, and mostly pertain to the automatic analyis of aboutness and information organisation in written texts. My research takes place in the GRECY laboratory, while most of my teaching is at the ENSI-Caen engineering school.

I also happen to be a private pilot. I obtained my PPL and use to fly in the regional Caen flying club (LFRK).

Beside that, I am a jazz drummer and used to play in several bands. I'm mostly interrested in modern and contemporary jazz, as well as in Tabla and african drums and rythms. Although I didn't have enough time recently to play as much as I would have liked to, I still have dates from time to time, and teach drums in an associative music school.
